The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Hugo Chávez Frías, expressed to be convinced that it is too early to think on a political retreat.
'¡Uh, Ah, Chávez no se va! (Uh, ah, Chávez will not go), since the Bolivarian Revolution is now entering into a new historical period that will be more difficult and complex,' stated the socialist leader on Tuesday, during the swearing-in ceremony of the new mayor of Guaicaipuro municipality, Miranda state, Alirio Mendoza.
It is worth mentioning that the constitutional amendment to be proposed by the people, coordinated by the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV, for Spanish), will allow Venezuela's presidents to nominate continuously for the post of head of government.
'This amendment, which is since now on the open debate, will allow me to stay for some years in order to give a boost to the third period of the Bolivarian Revolution,' he affirmed.
He also recalled that next Saturday 06, the Bolivarian Revolution will reach 10 years, so he said 'We will go, that day, to the Miraflores Presidential Palace to celebrate the ten years of the victory.'
Regarding the victory on the Guaicaipuro municipality, he explained that a new period of the revolutionary process should be traced.
'That period is granted with the election of the 15 mayors member of the PSUV,' he stated.
About the statements issued by right-wing sectors on an alleged loss of people's support in the main cities of the country, President Chávez listed some of the cities obtained by the red party: 'La Guaira, Caracas, Los Teques, Maracay, Valencia, San Carlos, Acarigua, Barquisimeto, San Fernando de Apure, Maturín, Cumaná, Ciudad Bolívar, Puerto La Cruz, Trujillo, Valera and Coro'.
He ratified that losing some governments is not an obstacle to continue deepening the revolution in those regions, and he also recalled to the opposition governors, especially Miranda state's, that he will be keeping an eye on the management they push forward.
